🔵 October 6: the Church commemorates St. Bruno of Cologne, Founder of the Carthusian Order. 🔵

Benedict Giovanno Wijaya

On the Date October 6, the Church commemorates St. Bruno of Cologne, Founder of the Carthusian Order.

In an age that worships achievement and position, Bruno chose the opposite. He was the smartest professor in Europe, a bishop candidate, a papal advisor — but he left it all to seek silence in the Chartreuse Mountains.

He teaches us: God often does not shout. He whispers in the silence.

In the midst of the noise of phone notifications, work, and homesickness in a foreign land, dare we be silent for 5 minutes today just for God?

St. Bruno, pray for us! 🙏
